BlueRock has issued the latest open-source release of its NOVA Microhypervisor with DMA remapping support for AMD platforms that have IOMMU hardware virtualization. This capability is enabled by default, extending hardware-level isolation across virtual machines, devices, and memory in shared execution environments. NOVA combines microkernel and hypervisor functions within a small trusted computing base. It utilizes a capability-based authorization model, providing mechanisms for virtualization, spatial and temporal separation, scheduling, and communication. This enhances security and resource management.
